We are getting pumped up for the modern finalists announcements, next week.

Talkoffamenetwork did a good piece on Frank Gore possibly waiting a while to get into the HOF. I wanted to comment but dont use Twitter or Facebook.

Gore wont be first ballot but deserves to be elected. He shouldnt have to wait over five years either. The HOF loves dominant players but longetivity as well and Gore has it. Yes, he is a compiler because he wants to keep playing. Yes, he plays in an era where it's easier to run the ball because defenders want to chase rather than tackle through runners or receivers.

Yet also, he helped the Niners go to three consecutive NFC Championships with a great defense and a QB who has been out of the league. Imagine had the Dutchman stayed, and not joined underrated coach Shaw in Philly ?

Steve Largent's career reminded me of Orr's and also Berry's. Two receivers who worked well with Johnny U. Shofner should be in the HOF and Dale was underrated as well.

He started and finished his career slow but Roman Gabriel was HOF worthy I felt but he may have fumbled too much ... haha

Coach Troup, I hope you do an assessment someday of Stafford with Detroit. Is he just snake bit, from lack of talent or coaching around him or just an extremely talented thrower like Sonny Jurgensen, who just cant motivate or elevate the talent around him ? He is too good to have the record he has ...

Brian wolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03887742217457349700noreply@blogger.com
