I've heard that you've compiled at least the entire Super Bowl era in sack totals and would like to know if this information will ever be made available to the public in a book or other medium? Also, while you were counting sacks for each player, did you simultaneously compile a list of defensive players' tackle totals, as well? I'm sure this info would be just as interesting to any avid football fan of the 20th century. Well, anyway, I hope to see your response. Cheers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4958997061437462003.post-63396850346533398142018-06-15T16:33:49.911-06:002018-06-15T16:33:49.911-06:00John, how did you compile that sack data, particul...John, how did you compile that sack data, particularly when it revises established unofficial team counts? Did you have access to footage of every play in every game some seasons for certain teams going back to the 1960s? If so it would be a relief to know such game footage still exists somewhere. It's almost impossible to find full length 1960s regular season games. I would even love to watch a lot more 1970s games than I've gotten to see. However, there is little demand, just a few people really care about it, and also we would like to get it as complete as possible. I've read in the past that you have compiled a list of individual player sacks prior to 1982, extending as far back as the early 60's or late 50's (even to 1949, the first year team totals were kept track of?), I believe. Because of my own fascination with the sack and my belief that pre-1982 needs to become official at some point, I want to ask if you've actually published a book with all pre-1982 sack information for all players who recorded a regular season sack or if you've only shared your findings with the like of pro football journal? I respect and value your dedication to this research and if possible, can I purchase a copy of such a book or publication of your pre-1982 sack information Please? Any reply would be appreciated sir and I can be reached at gregoryweigand@yahoo.com or by text at 586-625-6344<br />Thank you for your time and consideration.Gregory Weigandnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4958997061437462003.post-29152118486035199582018-02-23T23:01:44.113-07:002018-02-23T23:01:44.113-07:00Thanks John, great article as usual. Thanks John, great article as usual.alen baileyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09948457335469361491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4958997061437462003.post-1809942986518739312018-02-23T16:55:25.656-07:002018-02-23T16:55:25.656-07:00He told be he didn't give hurries for complete...He told be he didn't give hurries for completed passes.
