Hill did that.
7) OG Bob Kuechenberg...Has the most finalist nominations without being voted in.
8) SS Donnie Shell ...Has more championships, more forced turnovers and more tackles than current, possible first ballot selection Troy Polamalu. A tough choice over fellow teammate LC Greenwood, who kept my QB, Roger Staubach, from having four championships.
9) WR Cliff Branch...A tough choice over my hero, Drew Pearson, but Branch had speed that made a difference, like Del Shofner, Bob Hayes, Don Maynard and Paul Warfield.
10) RB OJ Anderson...Without injuries, would have run for over 12,000 career yards. Still, was only the eighth runner to top 10,000 rushing yards when he retired.

HC Tom Flores...tough choice over Don Coryell, who has most Finalist nominations...was a coach on every Raider champion.
HC Clark Shaughnessy...a finalist three times, and innovative coaching on BOTH sides of the ball. A tough choice over two time champion Buddy Parker...
Brian wolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03887742217457349700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4958997061437462003.post-77533656192428458552019-11-05T16:40:31.333-07:002019-11-05T16:40:31.333-07:00If Modell gets in, it will overshadow the great 15...If Modell gets in, it will overshadow the great 15 players and two coaches that get in, but hopefully the right players will be elected and the football public will be happy.Brian wolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03887742217457349700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4958997061437462003.post-67213540376845023742019-11-04T18:02:36.845-07:002019-11-04T18:02:36.845-07:00mmmmm, let's see....if Jerry Jones and Ed DeBa...mmmmm, let's see....if Jerry Jones and Ed DeBartelo are in, does anyone really think the NFL cares more about Duke Slater and Laverne Dilweg candidacies than pushing their boy Paul?....whatta joke....with respect, Brian, it's NOT a a tough issue.....it's a ploy to award the 'fatcats', not the guys who actually ARE the gameJHoltgymhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13751235587015111105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4958997061437462003.post-78786301804048525882019-11-02T23:27:51.223-06:002019-11-02T23:27:51.223-06:00It's a tough issue. You have many great players that are Hall worthy, but this whole process almost seems like an elaborate gimmick to get in more "non"players...People will be howling if Tagliabue, Modell and Kraft get in, overshadowing the great ten players and two head coaches who deserve the spotlight, but we will see.

RIP Bernie Parrish, a former player, and Player Advocate, who I would put in the Hall, for trying to improve player work conditions and benefits, over another fat cat owner, in the contributor class.
Brian wolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03887742217457349700noreply@blogger.com
