Dexter Lawrence is again dominant this season even his his team, the New York Giants are anything but. We had him as a first-team All-Pro last year and also the nose/shade tackle on our midseason team.
Playing in the middle suits him very well. Earlier in his career, Lawrence was more of a 5/4i-tech with others usually on the nose. Starting last year Lawrence took over the role as the man in the middle of the defensive line and he's looked better and better.
Here are a few examples.
This first one he gets low and forklifts our second-team All-Pro (midseason) guard, #73 Tyler Smith while also get bumper by the Dallas center to get pressure on Dak Prescott—
Here he is at a 2i position and the center tries to reach and cut him. Didn't work. Lawrence steps over the center's block and keeps his balance, then flattens and pursues down the line of scrimmage to get in on tackle—
The Giants got whipped badly both offensive and defensively. However, Sexy Dexy made some of the kind of plays and elite defensive interior makes.
he may be the only silver lining that comes out of that game for Big Blue.
