ReplyDeleteBenton held the record for many years and was the second leading receiver of the 1940's to the dominant Hutson but still cant get voted into the HOF.
I might be in the minority but Priest Holmes has a case for the HOF himself with his All-Pro selections, over 90 career TDs, not counting postseason and a SB ring with the Ravens. He tried to hang on after a terrible knee injury after his ninth season but in my mind, has the same injury argument as Terrell Davis.
Sorry, a spinal injury, not knee injury to Holmes.
