HINTS
Here are answers, but NOT in order.
wow Coach TJ, those are good challenges.....without spending zillions of hours trying to go through PFR and collate for all of them, I'll start and say I'm confident that #11 is really #24 Lenny Moore....
ReplyDeleteTough quiz. Pretty sure #2 is John David Crow, #6 is Bobby Mitchell and #8 is Paul Hornung. The other seven have got me stumped.
ReplyDeleteI am stumped too ... Takes a lot of research, to come close ...
ReplyDeleteI thought #1 was Baugh #2 Crow #3 Sayers #4 Thorpe #5 Matson #6 Mitchell #7 Norm Van Brocklin #8 Hornung #9 Walker #10 Cuff
#11 Moore
Get the feeling Dutch Clark, Ace Parker, Ollie Matson, Steve Van Buren could be in there as well ...
Brian, you are a maniac.....can't believe you could come up with all those names/answers.....wow....congrats!
DeleteDid some more digging and I'm pretty sure #1 is Charley Trippi and #9 is Timmy Brown.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jim but Kaimac may be more right ... Timmy Brown or Herschel Walker on #9 and Trippi over Baugh at #1 ...
ReplyDeleteI don't think Matson at #5 is right either ...
ReplyDeleteHere are three more that I'm pretty sure are correct. #3 Hugh McElhenny, #4 Bill Dudley, and #10 Frank Gifford.
ReplyDeleteYou're the winner Kaimac, good job ...
DeleteThanks Brian. It's been fun trying to figure these out. #5 and #7 have still got me puzzled, but if I do anymore digging through PFR, I'm going to get a headache.
DeleteYep, I did terrible but love those old throwback uniforms on the cards !!
ReplyDeleteI love throwbacks just about anytime and I hope the NFL will continue them...I especially like the 29 Packers, 60 Broncos , 33 Pirates, 55 colts, and the shadow letters (55?) 49ers
